Our new podcast miniseries celebrating the movies of 1999 kicked off this week

Since February is a down month for new releases, we kicked off a new miniseries on the Do You Like Apples Podcast this week called “Podcast Like It’s 1999.” Over the next few weeks, we’re pairing up 1999 movies as double features to celebrate their 25th anniversary this year.

And the first episode is already out! We discussed end-of-the-millennium sci-fi with The Matrix and eXistenZ. These two films capture the Y2K-era technological anxieties of the time, and yet they still feel deeply relevant today in our virtual reality, AI-obsessed world.
