Welcome to 2025, Apple-heads! We’re so glad you’re here with us for a new year of movie watching, recommending, and discussing. The newsletter will be back to our usual themed recommendations later this month, but for now we have some podcast business to attend to.
In November, we assembled our first Do You Like Apples Movie Club. You voted for the Denzel Washington noir Devil in a Blue Dress, so we watched it, and then discussed the movie and answered your questions on the podcast. For January’s DYLA Movie Club, the theme is heist movies, in honor of the sequel to Den of Thieves, out in theaters this weekend.
